The 2010 Annual General Meeting of An Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Inis Caoin took place on Thursday 2nd December in the Inniskeen Social Club. Despite the atrocious weather conditions, we eventually had 40 members in attendance.
The meeting began shortly after 8.00pm and began with the minutes of the previous AGM. Peter Dooley then gave his Secretary’s report, outlining all that had taken place within the club throughout the year, with particular praise given to the hurlers who created history several times throughout the year.
This was followed by Owen Greene’s Treasurer’s report where the club’s finances became the first topic to be discussed thoroughly with it being pointed out that a bigger effort was needed by all to maintain the club’s income. Owen gave special thanks to Fiona Monahan, Assistant Treasurer who prepared the accounts and helped him throughout the year. He also praised John Boyle for his fantastic selling of draw tickets for the club.
Youth Officer Mary Woods then gave an account of all the juvenile activity for the year.
Noel Brady’s Chairman’s address was the final item before the election of officers where he thanked all those who helped out throughout the year with teams, sponsors, committee members etc. and congratulated the hurlers on their tremendous success and wished the Intermediate team well in the final.
