Within one week we have played 2 games, one in the Louth League and one in the Monaghan League. In the Monaghan League the troops headed to Truagh to contest another 2 points. With only 13 of a panel Inniskeen knew it would be no easy match to compete. However they held their own and fought hard for every ball. Some unfair decisions from officials didnt deter the ladies from fighting till the very end, but unfortunately it was Truagh who walked away with a win. The second game held on Monday last saw Kilkerly come to Inniskeens home ground to contest the first round of the Louth league. It was neck and neck from the word go and both teams were in it to win it. With a 1 point lead at half time, Inniskeen returned in the second half stronger and committed to every ball. But as scores were tit for tat and time was running out, it was Kilkerly who snapped the lead at the final whistle with a 1 point win. Well done to all girls on two very tough games. All in a days work in the world of sport.
