A disappointing result for the Inniskeen camogs as they travelled to Stabannon on Thursday last to meet St. Annes in the Louth League final. With wet, greasy weather conditions on the cards, it took both teams almost all of the first half to settle into the game. Inniskeen opened up the game with the first score. However St. Annes sent in two lucky goals and popped over a point and ended the first half ahead with 2-01 to 1 point. Inniskeen came out the far better team in the second half and pushed everything they had forward, but it was not enough to secure the points that were needed. Unfortunatley, St. Annes left Stabannon the winners. Hard luck to the Inniskeen ladies.
But things are not over for the Inniskeen side. The next round of the Monaghan Championship tales place on Thursday 26th August v Clontibret. (Venue and time TBA). And on Sunday coming 29th August, they will tog out against Castleblayney in the final round. (Time and Venue TBA)
