IFL Semi-final:
Our seniors went out of this year’s league with a defeat to Currin in Scotshouse last Sunday.
It took extra time to separate the 2 teams as they both stood toe to toe throughout this tough hard hitting encounter.
The lads got off to the best possible start by going 4 pts to nil up thanks to some great scores by Michael Lennon, Ronan Meegan and Robbie Lorenze.
However Currin started to chip away at the lead, and we let two golden one on one goal chances fall by the waste side.
These misses had a dramatic effect as Currin counter attacked with a goal just on the turn of half time to leave the game in the balance at 1-05 to 1-03 in favour of us. This score certainly reflect the effort and possession Inniskeen had in the first half.
The second half was a different matter entirely with the north Monaghan men coming out of the traps fast registering a goal and 2 points without reply; however the lads hung in there and savaged a draw in the dying minutes thanks to a goal from Gerry Mc Ardle and a pressure point from Paul Meegan.
Inniskeen where left stunned in extra time as Currin registered 1-03 again without reply and practically put the match and senior football for 2014 out of reach.
The lads fought on right to the end to bring the score line back to 3-10 to 3-15 however Currin eventually ran out deserved winners. We wish them the very best for 2014.
On behalf of all the committee I would like to thank Alan, Owen and the players for all the hard work and dedication put in throughout the year.
We have good hopes for them in 2014 on the basis of the developments put in place this year.
Onwards and upwards.

Seat renewal in Pairc Grattan:
Please note that seat sponsorship renewals are now due for the Paddy O’ Rourke Stand in Pairc Grattan.
Thank you very much for those who registered their names previously. Please contact any committee member if you wish to renew (€20) for the next 5 years or take up a seat for the first time. New registrations are very welcome.

We extend our sincere sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of Rose O’Rourke, Glebe, Inniskeen.
Rose was a member of the great O’Rourke family who attributed so much to the history of our organization in Inniskeen, and Rose herself also contributed greatly over the years to the Grattan’s and her absence will be sorely missed.
We extend our sincere sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of Mary O Connor, Naas, Co Kildare.
Mary was a sister of former player and Chairman James Meegan, who has contributed greatly to our club from a playing and official capacity.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dhilis.

Inniskeen Ladies GAA:
The girls put on a spectacular night last Saturday in Oriel Park. The White Collar boxing Fundraiser turned out to get a great night for all who attended, and it raised much needed funds for Carrick Cancer and their own organization.
Well done to all involved.
