Senior Hurling Championship Final:
Our Senior Hurlers are back in the championship Final on Sunday against Castleblayney. It is the 5th year in a row that both teams will contest the county final.
The lads produced a devastating display of hurling to put away Truagh in the semifinal last week with special mention to Ronan Meegan and Donal Meegan who both contributed 1-12 and 1-09 to help the Grattans advance to the final.
Throw in is at 3pm in Aughnamullen this Sunday so please come out and bring the kids for what promises to be a cracker of a match.
On behalf of all the committee and members we would like to take this opportunity to wish Paul and the squad the very best of luck, they deserve the win with all the effort that has been put in this year.
Intermediate football league:
The senior footballers produced a top class performance last Sunday against top of the table Corduff. We got off to a blistering start with some very well taken points from Paul and Donal Meegan. However the game was put beyond doubt thanks to two clinically taken goals from Ronan Meegan.
Pick of the performers for Inniskeen was Joey Butler, Anthony Keenan, Gerry McArdle, Donal Meegan, Michael Lennon and Paul Meegan who pulled all the strings from the forty.
The win leap froged us back into top position but more importantly provided an excellent response to our defeat in Clones last day out.
The final score ended Inniskeen 3-15 Corduff 0-05.
