Intermediate Championship:
Our seniors are back in championship action this weekend against Clones. It’s a replay of last week league encounter where we where comfortably (1-07 to 3-13) put to the sword by the north Monaghan outfit.
We have no points to show out of the 2 games against them this year, so Saturday evening fixture should have extra spice to it.
Throw in is at 4.30 Saturday in Clontibret, I’m sure you will show up in good numbers the same as the last outing.

Senior Championship:
Pairc Grattan will host the championship clash between Latton and Castleblaney on Friday night at 8.15pm. Come along if you are free on the night.

U12 Div 1 Shield Champions:
The Inniskeen U12 team competed in the Division 1 Shield final last Saturday against Castleblayney and had a very convincing victory on a score of 7-7 to 1-6.
The boys rose to the occasion and Jack Smith in Goal took off a number of fine saves in the first half to allow us go in at half time 4-2 to 1 point up. Had he not made the saves the outcome may have been very different.
The fullbacks Pauric Keenan and Ciaran Martin were rock solid in front of the posts and were ably assisted at half backs by Adam McSkane  and Oisin Monahan who snuffed out any threats.
Midfield was where the real battle took place and Shane Hanratty and Conor Downeys power were in evidence throughout the match. They met with stiff opposition here and just shaded, what was a great battle as they supplied our inform forwards with plenty of good ball while also pushing on themselves and taking many fine scores.
Upfront the combination work of Gareth Burns, Alan O’Reilly, Alan Jones and Calum Quigley proved too much for the Blayney defence.
As the match went on Alan Needham and Dylan McConnell came in onto the full forward line and kept the pressure up on the Blaney defence.
Sarah McHugh, Brendan Burns, Michael Kindlon and Shane McGahon all came on and played their part in what was a great win for the Grattans.
After the final the team went to the Coachman’s inn Blayney and the club would like to thank Raymond and his staff for the great food and hospitality shown to us .
A sincere thanks to one and all of the staff from the U12 team and managers and mentors.
