Gene O’Rourke:
The club was saddened to hear the passing of Inniskeen GAA legend and honorary member Gene O’Rourke who passed away last week. Gene was the younger brother of Inniskeen legends Paddy, Ollie and Fran. A member of the Hackett cup team of 1960 and the Brennan cup team of 1961, Gene loved football, and was passionate about his beloved Inniskeen club. In the last few months Gene could not attend many games but was always informed of the result no matter what the outcome of the game was. He will be missed by all. The club would like to extend its sympathies to his wife Mary, Gene’s son and daughter’s Garrett, Niamh, Bernadette and Therese. Gene’s Brother Willie, sisters Ann, Nuala and Dymphna.

Grattan Oige:
The U12 team had a hard fought victory over Scotstown in Scotstown on Thursday evening last on a score of 3-14 to 5-10. Well done to all concerned. The two U14 teams played against the two Scotstown teams at home on Saturday. The B team recorded a fine victory winning 6-15 to 5-7 and were followed by the A team who recorded a narrow victory on a score of 4-7 to 4-5. This was the A teams first win and we had most of our panel available for the first time, after injuries. These teams deserve great credit for their commitment when things were difficult and got their rewards on Saturday. We hope that this is the start of decent run in the leagues now.
