The inaugural Keeva Kelly Memorial Tournament took place in Grattan Park on Saturday 23rd July, 2011 in blistering sunshine. Six U10 teams from Drumintee (Armagh), Kingscourt (Cavan), Burren (Down), Kilkerley (Louth), Rathkenny (Meath) along with the Inniskeen Grattan’s took part.

Each team played five games, each game lasted 30 minutes. There was a tremendous display of football played throughout by each team and the sizeable crowd that turned up were entertained right to the final whistle.

After nearly three hours of football Drumintee were victorious. Congratulations.

Presentation of medals was performed by Mr. Brian Murphy, Chairman, Inniskeen Grattan’s Juvenile Committee.  Mr. Murphy thanked the Kelly family, Blackstaff who donated the cup in memory of their daughter Keeva.  He thanked all the teams for taking part in the tournament and congratulated Drumintee on their great victory. He also thanked everyone who assisted the juvenile committee in any way in the running of the tournament.

Mrs. Deirdre Kelly and her daughter Arlene presented the Keeva Kelly Memorial Cup to the captain of the victorious Drumintee team.

A special word of thanks to Carrick Butchery & Deli and Tomco Foods for their kind donations of food for the tournament.
