What a great weekend the 3rd – 5th September turned out to be for the Grattan’s Underage teams. On Saturday the 3rd, the U12 footballers travelled to Aughnamullen. They put on a tremendous display of football in defeating Clones in the final of the Div 2 league.
The following day, the U10 team played in the Drumintee Tournament and after some terrific battles came home with the Shield.

Then on Monday night 5th September the U12 hurlers travelled to Blackhill to take on Castleblaney in the final. Despite the really inclement weather the players put on a fine display of hurling and came home with the spoils. Three pieces of silverware home to Grattan Park over one weekend, not bad lads.
Congratulations to all the players and the mentors who did themselves and the Club proud.
The U14 team travelled away to take on Aughnamullen in the semi final of the league, hopefully there will be more good news to report.
The U8 players had their final training session last Saturday. Well done to all the young players who turned out this year and we hope to see you all again in 2012. Keep practicing lads.
