The championship swung into action on Sunday as the girls travelled to neighbours and rivals Donaghamoyne. Innniskeen were quick off the mark and had registered a number of scores before Donaghmoyne responded. Try as they might the Fontenoys could not get a grip on the Inniskeen forwards and with the defence standing firm and penalty stopper supremo Laura in flying form the Inniskeen girls claimed the first scalp on a scoreline of 4-06 to 2-05. The draw for the semi-final pairing took place on Monday night. Details next week. On Wednesday the girls travelled to Aughnamullen for a league encounter. Details next week also. Training continues Wednesday and Saturday evevnings. Full turn out essential.
The Under 12's played host to Sean McDermotts on Saturday. They have now played all their games and we await news on if there will be a plate final. The county board are also deciding on the format of an Under 14 championship at present. More details later. The minor game scheduled for Monday night was postponed due to the championship match.
