Final fever has well and truly gripped the parish as the ladies take on Scotstown in Drumhowen tonight (Thursday) in the Junior Championship final @ 7.15. Scotstown denied the home side a league final victory last year and so the girls will be looking to step up their performance for this encounter. The forward line has been firing on all cylinders notching up 4-23 in the semi-final while the defence conceded only 2 points. However, in the final space will be limited and the outcome may well depend on the supply of ball going into the inside line.  It has been 4 years since the girls won a major trophy and so they would appreciate the people to get behind them and show them their support.
Training continues as per coaches as we await news of fixtures. We hope to host a small under 8 and under 10 mini blitz in the coming weeks so watch this space.
Congratulations to the hurling team on winning their first ever Senior Hurling Championship.  It was a fantastic game with an even more fantastic outcome. Well done!
