Our Under 14’s played Aughnamullen Monday evening last in a windswept Grattan Pairc. Games against Aughnamullen are never easy and this one proved to be no different. The girls exerted an early pressure but lacked finishing due to the strong wind. However, they overcame this and found form with an impressive rally of scores coming from Eadaoinn O’Callaghan, Claire O’Callaghan and midfielder Claire Greene. Not to be outshone by their older counterparts Karen Kindlon, Allison Finnegan and Niamh Greene excelled with Allison slipping though the Aughnamullen defence to snatch a goal. Shannon Ward flanked by a tenacious Aisling Hoey couldn’t put a foot wrong and intercepted the Aughnamullen attack time after time. At the final whistle Inniskeen finished two points up.  The girls take on Killanny in the next round of the league, please come out and support these girls.
