The last remaining senior fixture is away to Emyvale. The outcome of this game will determine if the girls are into a play-off for a final place or indeed if football comes to an end for the year. Training continues Wednesday and Saturday. Full turnout essential.

Pride of place goes to our very talented under 14 team who overcame Aghabog in the under 14 championship 11 a side cup competition on saturday last in Cloghan.  Determined to have something to show for a tough years training they set their stall out early and by half time had notched up a scoreline of 3-02 to 2-02.  Spurred on by the minimal margin and some inspirational words from Rita and Karen via satellite the team added a further 4-02 to leave the full time score 7-05 to 4-02 in their favour. A jubilant team made the usual parade route through the village in convoy proudly holding aloft the cup. Comhgairdeas cailini. Congratulations also to Karen, Peter and Lauren on the birth of baby Tiarnan. Of course he timed it perfectly to coincide with the victory so it was double celebrations all round. The victorious under 14 team along with Rita and parents also travelled to Croke Park for the All Ireland finals on Sunday.
Congratulations to the senior hurlers who continued their collection of silverware on Sunday with a fantastic senior league final win. The reserve league final is all that stands between them and a complete sweep. Well done and best wishes in the Ulster Club Championship campaign at the weekend.
